Good win at Motherwell. It only takes one clown for many more to suffer.

Another good win in Motherwell yesterday afternoon, once again it could have been a bit easier, we could have scored more, and a couple of decisions by the officials were dodgy to say the least. I definitely thought the Motherwell goal should not have stood because of the blatant shove on CCV, I also thought the call on Adam Idah’s second goal again was of the dodgy variety. So between them Calum Scott and John Beaton managed to keep the score down until the last couple of minutes. Beaton needs no introduction to the Celtic Support, this clown has been “CHEATING” us all his career. As for Mr Scott it’s the first time I’ve noticed him, but I have heard he is Nick Walsh’s boss at the High School that hosts the Rangers Academy, interesting indeed.

It was a decent all round display from Celtic, and it was good to see Luke Mc Cowan getting a start, I think Luke brings aggression into the midfield, and has a great delivery from set pieces, and is always looking to get into goal scoring positions. Daizen Maeda was once again very influential for us, his work rate is second to none, no opposing player gets time on the ball when Daizen is in the vicinity, and his goals have been very important for us this season. What can you say about Jota’s return to Celtic? Michael Flatley could not have choreographed that any better, to come on to a tremendous ovation, then score the goal that cinches the points, that was sheer Box Office.

Wednesday night at Villa Park was disappointing to say the least, but after a horror start we got ourselves back in the game through Big Adam. I have to confess I feared the worse in Birmingham with that start, I was thinking, “Oh No” another Dortmund was on the cards, then we showed a lot of character to steady ourselves and get back in the game. I was also surprised by a couple of the subs used, I have said many times that Brendan is an Elite Manager, but I thought he got it wrong bringing on the two young players, Dane Murray and Daniel Cummings, was that Brendan trying to make a point to the board? His job is to get points in the Champions League, not score points with the board. We qualified for the next round, and that was the objective to start with, the job now is win the two remaining trophies in Scotland, and be competitive in our game against one of the Giants of European Football Bayer Munich.

Speaking of Munich, as yet we don’t know if any Celtic Supporters will be allowed entry to the Allianz Arena on February 18th, and all because of one idiot at Villa Park, you have to be honest, this has been coming for years now, some of the clown’s that attach themselves to Celtic on European trips is amazing. There were plenty of people at Villa Park with green & white scarfs on, that you wouldn’t have seen at Motherwell yesterday afternoon, and you won’t see them at Dingwall, Aberdeen, of Dundee, but that’s down to how Celtic allocate tickets for European Games, maybe a change of plan is needed, and I think it will be forced on us any by UEFA because of our disciplinary record over the last decade or more.

It’s transfer window closing day today, let’s hope we can get some additions to the squad before it closes tonight. The plan always is to come out stronger than we went in, at this stage that probably isn’t the case. It’s a tricky business signing new players, you can sign a couple at between one and two million pounds, and they might not work out, but if you sign two at ten million pounds and it doesn’t work out, it’s a financial disaster, no matter how much money you have in the bank. There has been a lot of talk of the young Danish player Mathias Kvistgaarden of Brondby, I don’t know the inside story, but I do know they want in excess £13 ml, if the boy is the real deal, and we are certain he will be a success and score goals for us, then I would go and sign him, we need a replacement for Kyogo, even with Big Adam scoring recently. Hopefully we will be happy by 11pm tonight.
Glasgow’s still Green & White.
