We take the point and move on to prepare for the Final. Vile support, and supported by an inactive Police Force.

It was a long day yesterday, getting the bus at 9am was more like a trip to Aberdeen or Dingwall, instead of just up the road to Govan, the sooner we demand a return to the full Broomloan Road Stand the better for all, and personally that would be my default position, either that or nothing. The whole Police Operation was a joke, I’ve never seen so many cops at a match, there must have been as many polis as Celtic Supporters present, nice wee Sunday overtime bonus for Strathclyde’s finest. We were in the wee corner of the Sandy Jardine Stand, and from the time we crossed the road to the turnstiles, it took us about forty five minutes to get inside, why does it take that long for about 750 supporters to gain entry?

Once inside the army of polis looked as if they were at a day out with their friends, the clowns at the front of the Sandy Jardine Stand were on their usual form, displaying Israeli flags, a place they couldn’t find on a map, complaining continually about the Celtic Support, throwing bottles, lighters, batteries etc at the Celtic Supporters, and more often than not, hitting the cops and their own stewards with the objects, but not one arrest. One thing we can thank them for (no guard of honour, which we don’t want anyway) they played “Simply the Best” in honour of Celtic Football Club, and our supporters rightfully joined in with the singing. Quite a few of the angry bears went onto the track on at least a couple of occasions, that seemed to be acceptable to the cops as well, but after all, it wasn’t the Green Brigade they were dealing with, so no need for any action. You would have to ask why the need for so many polis to stand around doing nothing?

The match itself was there for the winning, and we almost did it with the last attack of the game, unfortunately Daizen for once had ran out of steam, which was understandable with his trip to Japan and back. We were also a few of our best players missing in AJ, Nicolas, and Jota, even if the latter two don’t start, they are a presence on the bench. For once we needed to thank VAR for the result, because if it had been down to the Linesman next to the Celtic Support we would have lost 2-0, he didn’t flag for the Sevco offside goal, and did flag for the Adam Idah goal which was onside. All in all, him and Nick Walsh were poor, Walsh gave some clear fouls on Celtic players the other way, which was baffling, not only to the supporters, but also to the players, which Callum made clear to him on more than one occasion.

Big Adam Idah is a bit of a Marmite Player amongst the Celtic Support, he missed a great chance to score in the first half, and that led to them going up the park and scoring, but fair play to him for sticking with it and scoring the equaliser for us. Once again we were outnumbered in midfield, but our three did well against their four, and Brendan managed to tweak our system in the second half to better effect. I thought Reo Hatate was outstanding, his passing and close control was very impressive. We know we can do better, and will do better, but if someone had said at the start of the season would you take a seventeen point lead with three games to go, you would rightly have said yes, since it means Sevco now need snookers. The most important thing to do now is be fully prepared for the Scottish Cup Final, there is no glory in being runner-up in the final, winning it will complete a historic Ninth Treble, and sixth in the last nine years, now that’s dominance.

I read Police Scotland are investigating the banner displayed by the Onion Bears before the game yesterday, personally banners don’t bother me, I think there was certainly other thing’s going on which merited investigation, but I won’t hold my breath. It’s the vilest stadium to attend and has been since it’s inception, their hatred of all things Catholic and Irish is an embarrassment to the Authorities, both Football and Political. A big problem for them is, Catholic’s are not very welcome in the Police in Scotland, especially in the West of Scotland. The police have hounded the young Celtic Support while standing back admiring the Onion Bears, no section 60 for them yesterday, like there was on March 16th on London Road. We have told the Police that we will not stand back and do nothing while they try to criminalise the young supporters of Celtic Football Club.
Glasgow’s still Green & White.
