"Your Voice and Opinions Can Be Heard"

Postby Joe O'Rourke » Sun May 16, 2010 3:58 pm

I have been a member of the Association for over forty years; it’s the only way I’ve known to express my opinions over the years regarding Celtic Football Club. The Association has changed dramatically over these years, at one time the only place you could get a ticket for an away game was through the Association; I well remember the scramble for tickets when we played Leeds Utd at Elland Road in 1970; I was lucky, I got one (second oot the bunnet in the ballot). The Association was handling over £1m worth of tickets a season, until wee Fergus decided to have his own ticket office, and the rest as they say is history.[/SIZE:17aa2198]

Until recently most fans went to the match on the local Celtic supporters bus, but it’s becoming more common now for three or four fans to get together and go by car; or by public transport, stopping at a few pubs on the way, and this has led to a deterioration of the Supporters Clubs as we knew them.[/SIZE:17aa2198]

Quick response there. Once we confirm the setting up i'll get all the details, i'll probbably set up a designated e mail address for registration, and let everyone know the costs and rules basically.

Dear Joe,

I am a member of one of the biggest and most active club's in Ireland, St. Margarets, which chooses to remain outside of the Association of Irish Celtic Supporter's Club. Although I am an active member of the Celtic Trust I would welcome the opportunity to have dialogue with members of the CSA and would love to find a way of becoming a member. I'm sure there are 20 or more people who I know in Ireland who would sign-up to constitute a Branch either online or otherwise.

Best regards,

Vincent Doherty
Dublin
