Callum is better than Souness. Rest in Peace John Keane, Celtic Legend.

As we would expect, as soon as the Scottish National Team got a bad result, the blame would be placed on the head of a Celtic player, and that player was our brilliant captain Callum McGregor. The worst part of the defeat was having to listen to the incessant inane drivel being spouted by Sally McCoist, then after the match the comments from Souness, who was a decent player, but an absolute “THUG” on the football pitch, I would say this, Callum McGregor is a better footballer than Souness ever was, in the modern game, Souness would spend more time in prison than on the football pitch.

We had a meeting with Michael Nicholson, Chris McKay, and John Paul Taylor on Friday. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the previous season, and to look forward to next season. There has been much said about the increase in ticket allocation for Ibrox next season, it looks like we would get around 2,500 tickets, and the Orcs would get around 2,700 tickets for Celtic Park. Just for clarity, this deal isn’t done yet, the deal all depends on Sevco erecting safety nets over at Snake Mountain, if that hasn’t been done, then the deal is off for the first Derby game at Celtic Park. This was always about the safety of our supporters and staff, and unless this is guaranteed, then nothing has changed.

Celtic have also applied for safe standing in the section used by the Bhoy’s Supporters Group, this makes sense, as the supporters in that section stand anyway, we might as well let them do it safely, I have friends in that section who love the atmosphere the Bhoy’s bring to the game. As I keep harping on about, we need 100% commitment from everyone at the club, I think we saw that at the closing part of last season, I think the whole Celtic Support played a big part in us winning the Double, so I’m sure with the same commitment and support, we can be successful again next season, with progress made on the European front.

It was really sad to hear yesterday of the passing of a “True Celtic Legend John Keane” when some people were talking, John was walking, walking into a bank, and depositing a cheque for £1,000,000 to save Celtic Football Club from administration. John Keane was never one to bang his own drum, or to demand respect or credit for what he did, he did it because in his eyes it was the right thing to do, and as a Celtic Supporter he never questioned himself about putting that amount of money into the hands of the bank, with no guarantee that he would ever get it back. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mark and all the family at this sad time.
Requiescat in aeternum pace John. They Never Die Who Live in the Hearts they leave behind.
