It's only been two weeks since the Double. Are you going to Toronto or the USA?

It’s only been just over two weeks since the Famous Glasgow Celtic clinched the Double at Hampden Park on May 25th, the 57th Anniversary of the magnificent European Cup victory in Lisbon against the mighty Inter Milan. It was a long season for every Celtic Supporter, and especially the lucky ones who attend every match home and away, so the wee break is welcome, but I’m sure the bug will bite again very soon, and I’ll be wishing we were back on the road again following Celtic everywhere they play.

The thoughts of the supporters now are firmly focused on who will be coming in, and which players will be leaving, the most important thing is to get it right, not to see how fast we can sign players, but to get the right players signed, no matter how long it takes. I understand we want players in early and ready for the Champions League, so they can assimilate into the Club, but it also gives us a chance to see who is available, supporters need to understand, some players are not coming to play in Scotland, no matter how much you pay them. I remember Martin O’Neill working for television at the 2000 European Championships Final’s, if my memory serves me well, we did ok that season.

I’m giving serious consideration to going to America in July for the Tour, I did the last one in 2010 with my son Joseph, and thoroughly enjoyed it, the atmosphere at the games was brilliant, most of the supporters based in the US don’t get to see Celtic often, although I have friends in the Bronx Bhoys and New York Fenian Bhoys who have season tickets and come over as often as possible, as do some of the Bhoys up in Canada, like Jacky Meechan, Gerry McLaughlin and Tam Donnelly, but they also have a Big Weekend planned for the end of July.

The Celtic Supporters Clubs in Toronto are jointly holding a Celtic Weekend of Celebrations. Each Club will hold a night in their own premises.
All the information is listed below. It will be a brilliant weekend, and the main beneficiaries will be the Kano Foundation, keeping football free for kids.
