A nervous display, but we got there eventually.

Well we got there in the end yesterday afternoon at Celtic Park. There seemed to be a nervousness about our team, I don’t know if that was anything to do with the unrest amongst our supporters, or at least some of our supporters, but it was imperative that we won that game. We now have the International break, that should give us an opportunity to get some more work done on the training pitch, and it should bring Ali Johnston closer to full fitness, we have really missed his surges up the right side.

It was a great finish by Daizen, he took it the hard way by stooping to head the ball in instead of using his foot, but it was certainly a relief for the Celtic Support. Daizen really came to life when he went through the middle, I don’t think he likes out wide right, so we may have to try Sebastian Tounekti out right, as I’ve said already, we have a couple of weeks to try new systems, after all, that’s why all the money was spent on Lennoxtown and Barrowfield.

Marcelo Saracchi looks like a decent left back, and CCV looked more like himself in central defence, but we lost two goals which should never happen when we are dominating games. Iheanacho put his penalty away brilliantly, and out left Sebastian had a quiet afternoon. We have to get back to the type of form we are used to, we need to move the ball quicker to the front players, that’s the only way to beat a deep defence.

There is a meeting this evening with the Board and representatives of our supporters, let’s hope we can get a meaningful solution to the present unrest, the only chance we have of being successful is, with everyone pulling in the same direction.
Glasgow’s still Green & White.
