Another late winner, but still three points.

Well yesterday was another rollercoaster of a game for us Celtic Supporters, I don’t know if my dodgy ticker can stand much more of that, but it’ll just have to. The most important factor is, that we won the game in the end, in fact, at the very end. That’s three games in a row where we have had to come back to win games late on, it’s a position that Martin O’Neill will know well, during his first spell at Celtic we won lot’s of games late on, but that meant that we never gave up, we kept going right up to the final whistle.

The first half was a disaster, and particularly for big Auston Trusty, I don’t know why, but he doesn’t seem to like the physical side of defending, the two goals we conceded were very poor, a simple one-two for the first, and a simple through ball for the second. It’s obvious from the table that we are conceding too many goals, we have lost seventeen goals away from home, that is very poor, when Martin came in 2000 our back four contained Bobo, Johan, and Joos, proper defenders, it seems every time a team gets the ball near our box it creates panic, that needs fixed, and fixed ASAP.

As for Kilmarnock’s playing surface, this has to be the last season for those plastic pitches, we have lost players to injury because of those surfaces, and that’s not right. Kilmarnock and other teams moaned about the cost of replacing the plastic with a proper grass pitch, well here’s a message for Bill Bowie at Kilmarnock, if you can afford to have three stands of your stadium half full for a game, when there are lots of supporters desperate for tickets outside, you can afford a grass pitch, at least at Livingston they will sell you a ticket for the dugout if they could, and Falkirk have sold most of their stadium as season tickets, so Bowie must have plenty of spare cash if he can continue with a half-empty stadium.

Celtic’s substitutes won the game for us yesterday, Sebastian Tounekti has been great in the last 3/4 matches, and Big Tam got two assists yesterday, The Ox will have a big say in what we achieve this season, and Saracchi is great cover for KT, and I don’t think I’ve seen a better celebration than Julian Araujo, sadly I don’t think we will be able to keep him beyond this season. Another goal again for Benjamin Nygren, sixteen for the season is brilliant for a midfield player, and hopefully there is more to come from him. We are not far off being a good team, we have big players out, and it takes time for new players to gel, but we will get there.

I would have to say as well that the Celtic Support in the second half played their part in getting us back into the game, and finally getting the winner, I’m not getting involved in the politics’ here, but it shows what we can achieve if we are all in it together. We have three games in quick succession now Stuttgart home and away, with a home match with Hibs sandwiched in between, for me the most important game is the Hibs one, it’s great to be in Europe, but winning the League is paramount. We then have three away games in a row, two at Snake Mountain, and one at the Ewe Camp, every domestic game now is very important. The League and Cup are still very much in our own hands; I just think that non-players have a big influence in our results, and not a positive influence, especially when clowns like Derek Mc Innes and Neil Mc Cann get to voice their opinions.
Glasgow’s still Green & White.
