"Good to talk, St Mirren change their search policy to random searching"
[COLOR=#000000:194ea96e]It would appear its good to talk; St Mirren have now changed their policy of blanket searching on Saturday; to random searching. The letter is posted below.
[COLOR=#000000:194ea96e]Search Policy - Saint Mirren v Celtic Saturday 21 January 2012 Kick off 12.30 pm [COLOR=#000000:194ea96e]With regard to the above. At today's regular pre match operational meeting held at New Saint Mirren Park a joint assessment was conducted regarding the match which involved all relevant stakeholders including this club, Strathclyde Police and Celtic Football Club. Following prolonged discussion, which took the comments you gave yesterday into account, the decision was taken to conduct a random rather than a 100% blanket search policy on supporters attending Saturday's match. Supporters should still be aware of the possibility of a random search being carried out and should therefore arrive early. As per our standard operating procedures supporters should be aware that ALL supporters bags will be searched on entry. It just proves that in any walk of life if you allow folk to walk all over you and do and say nothing they will continue to do so. However it does pay to stand up and say NO, that is how bullies thrive when folk don't stand up to them. Such is life.
