Good initiative, Joe.
I'm sure it will take off. We tried to get a club going some years ago, but fell short of the numbers required.
This sounds like a good way of doing it.
Hail hail,

John and all the rest of the ghuys, thanks, the response has all been positive. I've been talking about doing this for a while now, so glad i've eventually got round to it.
There will obviously be some teething problems to start with, we need to set the cost of membership, and of course the voting rights, but there are lots of benefits for members, and hopefully the Association will be stronger and more representative of the core support both at home and abroad.

Hopefully with a new manager and new players some of those who have fallen away will get their appetite back again. But failing an increase in numbers, you have to look at merging with another club, or just plain downsizing, anything i can do to help just ask.

I spoke with Angela Forbes (Manager Ticket Services), she tells me they have never done concessions for the unemployed with season tickets. I remember they had an unempoyed pay gate where you showed a UB40 card for a concession price; i am hoping to meet with Peter Lawwell early next week; i'll put it to him and see what his thoughts onit are; i'll let you know what he says.
