John McKie daily ranger - at it again

Last week's Grand Council on two Scots footballers was one man down - SFA President George Peat.
Peat was undergoing exploratory heart surgery. Would it be too much to ask docs to try some exploratory brain surgery while they're there? Last week, the pressure was on Rangers for using it as an excuse to get two high-earners off the wage bill. The pressure was on the two buffet slayers themselves for following an eight-hour session by flicking V-signs at photographers.

Then Peat and SFA chief exec Gordon Smith, below right, got involved and banned Ferguson and McGregor for Burley's time in office. Result - sympathy for two eejits who barely deserve any and more heat on a manager who doesn't need any.
Some (please note, not all) Rangers fans have been singing abuse about the Tartan Army, Burley and Steven Pressley.
One Ibrox fan even asked the Record Hotline: "What have the Tartan Army ever done for Scotland?" Well, no arrests since 1993, they raise hundreds of thousands of pounds for charities and the best PR for Scotland since Darius stopped singing.
Not one Tartan Army member complained about Davie Weir captaining Rangers days after he pulled out of the Holland and Iceland games.
In Amsterdam, our taxi driver quoted the police chief who was greatly impressed by the Tartan Army's conduct. "Even when you lose," he said, "you win."
The thoughts of the police chief from Rangers' last big Euro fixture will be reported once he's picked the teeth from his mouth.
This isn't an anti-Rangers point, but a pro-national team one. [B:802af3a2]Those Celtic fans who side with pretend Irishman Aiden McGeady over Scotland hero Gordon Strachan do our country an equal disservice.[/B:802af3a2]
But it's sad that Barry won't captain Scotland in a major tournament again. And even sadder that the SFA are talking about hiring a minder for the players.
Last time someone had the Minder idea, it involved Shane Richie and Channel Five.

Bringing Aiden into this is nothing short of pathetic!
I'm surprised he didn't have ago at Artur, but then again that's already been done hasn't it!
The whole sorry affair has made Scottish fooball and sports journos the laughing stock of European football, and has shown the SFA/SPL and the laptop loyal up for what they are.
Murrays sniveling quivering pathetic puppets!
What a joke they really are, I don't have the word to explain my utter contempt for the lot of them!!
