Scotland's Shame: The Songs or the Silence ?

Yesterday, John Reid made a statement in which he called the Rangers fans new chant of hate "racist." He also condemned it as illegal under the Race Relations Act. As a former Home Secretary, one would think John Reid knows what he is talking about.

The Chairman of Celtic calls Rangers fans racist. A former Home Secretary says they are breaking the law. Surely either story on its own would normally be enough to make the front pages of our national newspapers ........ and yet the only sound, apart from the singing itself, is the sound of silence.

Which is the more shameful? The conduct of the Rangers support, or the silence of a media which claims to hate sectarianism and racism as much as we do but consistently turns a blind eye to it?

Typical Politician.
Tell us what you intend doing about it John.
Why turn the spotlight back on our own supporters? We'll deal with that when we get rid of the "Famine Song".
The press will only talk about such issues as to when the Celtic Support let ourselves down by singing about Nacho.Tit for tat etc.Lets not give them any excuse, clean up our own act and turn the heat up on the "Famine Song"
hail Hail
