The Bhoys Are Defeated.

Well then, there's now no chance of the European Cup coming to Paradise, for at least one more season anyway! The Bhoys didn't seem to hit peak performance, just when required, against Malmo.
We, as Champions of Scotland though, must have been seeded lower than the champions of Iceland, Khazikstan and Sweden, since we played all of our ECL Qualifiers and Play Off matches at home first. If we were seeded above them, then the onus would have been on them to overcome us, so we, as everyone prefers, would have had our home game last, as there is a recognised competitive advantage in such, since you then know the score you require to go through when you play in front of your home crowd!
When the stakes are raised, the pressure increases; margins then become tighter and errors are ruthlessly exposed: and even with the Officials too! Two penalty conversions for two hand-balls at the latter ends of both halves would have seen Celtic through 5-4 on aggregate. But it as is unlikely for there to be any explanation forthcoming from EUFA, as it certainly was for them to be awarded in the first instance.
In Professional Sport, money it seems, harbours grudges. With BT Sport buying up all the ECL television rights, they will naturally expect as many of the four English Clubs in the competition to go as far as possible. But just remember, no English Clubs reached the semi-final stages last season!
Ronny Deila has done a wonderfully successful job for us so far. Denied a Domestic Treble in his first season in Scotland, by a caper which would not have looked out of place on "It'll Be Alright On The Night", he has galvanised a team which are hungry to improve and to win. We have a squad with depth and breadth and it will be up to the other teams in Scotland to show what they can do against us this season. We can expect no favours though from the Scottish media at large, just the opposite in fact! They are well prepared to wear egg all over their faces to put out a story which will hinder Celtic in any way.
Europa League matches, although comparatively less lucrative than the ECl, will allow our players to grow in experience. That is something other clubs in Scotland will not be benifiting from. So despite all the negativity that comes our way, from all diffferent directions and sources, we are still, here in our own place, top of the pile! In fact from where I am standing, the future looks decidedly GREEN (WHITE AND GOLD)!!!
