Hi Joe,

I live in Santiago de Compostela, Galicia, North West Spain and I've been approached by a local organisation about hosting a 125th Anniversary Festival for Celtic Supporters and their families to coincide with next year's Pre-Season in July 2013.

Santiago de Compostela is famous for “El Camino” pilgrimage, “The Way” in the recent Martin Sheen film.

Galicia has several professional football teams in the Spanish leagues: - Deportivo La Coruña and Celta de Vigo in “La Liga” 1st Division; Lugo in the 2nd A Division; Ourense in the 2nd B and our very own Compostela in the 3rd Division.
So there is a good variety of local Spanish quality teams for Celtic to test themselves against.

The idea is to have Celtic play 2 or 3 games against the local teams, preferably Deportivo, Celta and Compostela over a 10 - 15 day period and for the Supporters to also enjoy daily visits to the beautiful Galician beaches or alternatively daily excurscions to do the “Camino de Santiago” (eg. doing 125 km for the 1254125 campaign over 5 different days) with transport to and from laid on and to have a party every night back in Santiago with food, drink, live music and activities.

What do you think?
Is that something that Celtic Supporters would be interested in?

If you like the proposal, is there anyway that you could help us promote the holiday and get Celtic Supporters aboard that, at the same time, would be of benefit to the CSA?

Best regards,
Douglas
