The Celtic Supporters Association is delighted to announce that they are holding a European Convention in Santa Ponsa, Majorca in May 2010; it will run from May 18th to 25th.[/SIZE:44062fae]

To ensure that the event is a success we have entered into partnership along with several organisations, “ One Mallorca “ will have exclusive rights to the entertainment, they are a first class Company with years of experience in arranging excellent entertainment. “The Town Hall of the Municipality of Calvia” have given their blessing and promised their full support. We have agreement with the “Hotel Association” to provide the best price for all types of accommodation from self catering to all inclusive, and we have arranged for “Semple Travel” to put together the best packages at the best prices for all your needs.[/SIZE:44062fae]

Santa Ponca is the perfect choice of site for the Convention; it is already very popular with Celtic fans that go there in their thousands every year. It is very compact and all the activities will be within walking distance of the town centre, we have assurances from the Shopkeepers and Bar Owners that they will keep their prices as low as possible.[/SIZE:44062fae]

As well as the traditional Celtic/Irish entertainment we have managed through One Mallorca to stage the famous Pirates Show which will be included within the hotel package when booked with John Semple or through the Hotel Association of Santa Ponsa, Magaluf and Palma Nova, the show is very popular with visitors of all ages. The highlight of the week will be the Gala Dinner staged in the Gran Casino, part of the show will be the musical extravaganza “ Come Fly With Me “ it’s a tribute to fifties New York with fantastic singers, dancers and world class gymnasts. The finale will be very much Celtic entertainment. Please note that places will be very limited, so book in advance at [/SIZE:44062fae]www.comeflywithme.com[/COLOR:44062fae][/SIZE:44062fae][/URL:44062fae]

In the town five minutes from the beach will be a Celtic Village, it will free to enter and will cater for everything from food and beer to t-shirts and novelties, we will have music on every night except when the Gala Dinner is on, through agreement with the Municipality the village will close at midnight, we recognise that everyone in Santa Ponsa is not on holiday or part of the Convention so we must respect their privacy.[/SIZE:44062fae]

Between now and May next year we will up-date the information as often as possible. We hope to set up a facebook page so that fans can access information and also post their own thoughts and ideas.[/SIZE:44062fae]

I know several who were there last night, its getting to breaking point for the travelling fans in Europe.

But hey, theres Santa Ponsa, or Vegas, or Canada to placate them.

Lets get one thing clear, the Convention in Santa Ponsa isn't a substitute for European football, it's about celebrating a successful season at home and in Europe

I live in Santa Ponsa and am very well known by almost everyone who owns a business and also the local council. I am a lifelong Celtic supporter, was a season ticket holder until I moved over here. I would like to offer my services to you in assisting with the organisation of the event.
I have contacts in every field from the supply of drink to entertainment. I am too aware that there are many unscrupulous bar owners who will see this event as a way of lining their pockets.
If I can be of assistance please contact me on santaponsajim@fsmail.net[/EMAIL:1fcc84d4].
I will be in Glasgowfor 10 days in mid November.

Hopefully domestic will be better than the European results then Joe.

No amount of spin can cover up that debacle last Thursday.

Good luck with the Convention.
