Typical Scottish Media.

You would think with all the shenanigans going on with Sevco they would be the big negative story in the sport pages of the rags that try to pass as newspapers in Scotland. We all know that is exactly the opposite of what happens in reality, Jabba the Hutt has some clout up here.

Craig Levein got interviewed the other day, all the talk was about the length of the grass at the Bigot Dome 2. Craigy Boy was full of the joys, talking about bleating Rodgers, and what length he would like the grass to be etc. not one reporter asked him about the two horrendous tackles by Naismith on Scott Brown and James Forrest.

Levein stated that Brendan should be happy enough just to win the game. The reality is this, we could have lost the game, and more importantly we could have lost two major players through serious injury going into the Cup Final. With all due respect to James, Paddy Roberts could replace him, but Broony is irreplaceable in our team, he is the driving force, and our chances of the historic Double Treble would diminish greatly without Broony.

Naismith has received retrospectively a two match ban, which Levein is not contesting, would that scumbag have contested the ban if they had anything to play for? This Hearts team that tried to boot both us and Hibs off the park, never made a tackle at the Bigot Dome 1, but would we expect anything less from that mob?

Another major news story that seems to have evaded the sports journalists in Scotland is the refusing of a European Licence for Sevco from UEFA. Apparently UEFA had serious questions about Financial Fair Play, and again reports suggest the SFA have backed Sevco. Even with their patsy Regan gone, McRae and Petrie are still the power in Scottish Football. All the clubs in Scotland with the exception of Celtic Football Club should hang their heads in shame.

I suppose we shouldn’t be surprised by the actions of the SFA, after all we are still waiting on the result of the investigation being carried out by Compliance Officer Tony McGlennan into the awarding a licence to Oldco Rangers in 2011, Tony has been on the case since September last year. Let me say this to you Mr McGlennan, if you think that if you stall long enough we will get fed up and give up ….. Think Again … That’s not going to happen.

On a more cheerful note. Tonight we host the Seventieth Annual Celtic Supporters Association Rally in the Kerrydale Suite at Celtic Park. The event will be attended by Brendan and a good number of the players. Peter Lawwell and several other Board members will also be there, along with other members of staff. We have great pleasure in announcing Scott Brown as our Player of the Year, and our Guest of Honour is Celtic Legend Lisbon Lion Bertie Auld. 500 Celtic Supporters attending will make it a Celtic Celebration. And incidentally, all profit from the night goes to worthy causes.
