Unbeaten run continues.

Postby Joe O'Rourke » Mon Dec 19, 2016 11:43 am

The unbeaten run continues, even though we struggled a wee bit in the second half on Saturday against Dundee, although there is no fanfare from the Scottish media as regards the unbeaten run, it must be really bugging them.

Saturday was a great three points when you consider that Brendan was without a few first choice players, and Paul Hartley never makes it easy for us when playing Dundee. The first half was very good, I thought we played a lot of fast moving possession football, and should have been more than one goal up at the break.

And after going two up we seemed to lose a bit of intensity to our game, we ended up holding on a bit at the end, Dundee could have equalised as well, but all in all we deserved the three points, and that meant we remain unbeaten.

We have another four winnable matches before the end of the season, it would be really fitting for Brendan and the Bhoys to end the year unbeaten in domestic football, the players deserve it for all the hard work they have put in.

There is a lot of talk about going through the entire season unbeaten, for me that would be a real tall order, but it is certainly possible, and we would have a better chance if the officials were completely impartial and above all “Honest”

It was great to see Scotty Sinclair back on Saturday, I think he is a real class act, and certainly believe he could play at the very highest level, hopefully he is here for the long haul alongside Brendan.

Another bonus has been Big Moussa Dembele, I am delighted for him winning the French under21 Player of the Year Award, that is a massive achievement when you consider some of the players he was up against.

Tomorrow night it is Partick Thistle again, then on Saturday we play Hamilton again, you feel as if we are playing the same team every week, I really don’t care so long as we keep winning every week.

We finish off the year with a visit to Snake Mountain, I have mixed feelings about that one, it is great to win there, but the poisonous atmosphere is hard to take at times. I just hope we don’t bring the roof down with our fast attacking football and singing and dancing.

I am going to a meeting this afternoon with Police Scotland, it is to talk about the semi-final, and to talk about the game on Hogmanay. I also had a meeting last week with ACC Bernie Higgins of Police Scotland regarding some issues. I would hope to report on both these meeting before the end of the week.
