Has James Forrest got a twin brother?

Postby Joe O'Rourke » Mon Sep 26, 2016 11:26 am

I was just wondering on Saturday at teatime if James Forrest has a twin brother, the change in James since last season is remarkable, he looks really confident and his energy levels and commitment to the fight has been tremendous.

Maybe we could say the same about some of the other players, including our captain Scott Brown, Scott looks much fitter and hungrier, although I accept he was carrying an injury last season. Thomas Rogic is another who has upped a gear, he is a revelation in the Number 10 role.

Add to that the displays of new players Moussa Dembele and Scott Sinclair has been brilliant, and with Griff back fit again we are a real threat going forward. Stuart Armstrong when he has had game time looks to be back to his best as well. It is looking really promising for a successful season.

It has been great so far domestically, we should be on maximum points at this stage, but you have to accept that sometimes you don’t get the three points even though you deserved them.

The whole Celtic Family are like the players, the change in our form and displays makes everyone happy, and even when the weather was atrocious on Saturday the support turned up in good numbers, that obviously helps the players when they see the stadium full and rocking.

Contrast that with what’s happening over at Sevco, Mr Maigicless Hat Warburton was at his angry best again. Big Weir has obviously told him not to worry because the officials will make sure they win even when they don’t deserve to, well it’s not happening this time round.

That’s not to say they have not had their fair share of dodgy decisions, they still have many friends in authority, but it seems that’s not enough to win them games this time around. The arrogance they showed at the start of the season was laughable, they thought they would look down on the rest of the SPL with disdain. Well at least six clubs are looking down on Sevco at this stage of the season.

Getting back to a proper football team and club. The display on Saturday was breath-taking at times, the speed and movement of the players was first class for most of the game. We fully deserved to win by a big score, in fact it could have been even more, and maybe the young players at Kilmarnock will learn more by being on the park playing against a good team.

Wednesday night will be a different proposition altogether. We are playing against a truly class team full of very good players. We will need to be at our very best, and work very hard to win the game. But we have a lot of big scalps in the locker at Celtic Park, there is no reason why we can’t add Manchester City to the list.
