CSA donates £5,000 to the John Hartson Foundation.
Association President John Andrews and I met up with John Hartson at a city centre hotel on Friday morning; John was in Glasgow to play in a golf tournament; the proceeds of which were going to The Mc Millan Cancer Nurses.
As you know Big John has good reason to be thankful to a lot of people for all the care they gave him during his successful fight against that terrible disease; he is very passionate about helping those who suffer from Cancer; and about those who care for the people who suffer from Cancer.
John has been a great supporter of Maggies Centre at Singleton Hospital in Swansea, and recently donated £25,000 to Yorkhill Childrens Charity in Glasgow, Swansea and Glasgow are the two cities which are closest to Johns heart.
John was our Guest of Honour at the Celtic Rally on May 17[SIZE=2:51b98422]th[/SIZE:51b98422] in the Kerrydale Suite at Celtic Park. As a result of our Rally we presented John with a cheque for £5,000 for the John Hartson Foundation.
Over the last three years, the money raised at the Celtic Rally has been donated to three charities; The John Hartson Foundation, The Tommy Burns Skin Cancer Trust, and The Thai Tims; the money donated was in excess of £25,000. I would like to thank everyone who made that possible by both turning up; and by making a donation.
John will continue to raise awareness and funds for his Foundation, he would be very grateful for any help or donation.
