I attended a meeting yesterday with Peter lawwell at Celtic Park; also in attendance were the Celtic Trust, the Junglebhoys and the Green Brigade. The initial agenda for the meeting was set at the last open meeting in St Mary’s, so I’ll deal with that first.[/SIZE:83aeec1f]

The demand for changes to the systems in terms of discipline within Scottish Football has attracted a lot of media attention since I posted the proposal on our web site; in fact the pre amble to the proposal was probably what done it for us; but no matter how it came about it received the required media attention.[/SIZE:83aeec1f]

Thanks for the info Joe.

I remember reading at the time about some english clubs not wearing the poppy but can't quite remember which clubs it was.

Keep up the good work Joe.

Lets hope improvements can be made on the park.

The clubs that did not wear the poppy were Man Utd, Liverpool and Bolton.

Liverpool said the poppy does not show on their strips.

Found this

A United spokesman reiterated yesterday: ‘We are very proud of the work we do with the Armed Forces and we do not feel a poppy on the shirt would add to our contribution. Our staff and officials will be wearing them as usual and we are confident we are doing the right thing.’Liverpool said: ‘We have worked with the British Legion to help publicise and support the Poppy Appeal. There will be a minute’s silence before our game against Birmingham on Monday, a ceremonial poppy placed on the centre circle, a ground collection and advertising made available to raise awareness.’
Despite frequent requests, Bolton made no comment.

Is this all that was discussed? I would have hoped that there would have been hell of a lot more to report than this.....

This is only a brief summary of what was discussed at the meeting, obviously the short to long term plan for the club has not been settled. We told PL what we thought was needed to get Celtic back to where we belong; it is his duty and the duty of everyone else at the club to ensure that it happens.

Joe it was good to read your report on the the talks with our CEO. could you say if 1) you brought up the behaviour of the stewarding on match days at CP, they seem to be hell bent to stop singing and any vocal support for the team .2) is there any plans to bring stewarding back inhouse. Thank you for your good work .

couldnt agree more clover4 the stewarding at the park is a joke the hassle the junglebhoys get is bang out of order the steward and police in that section are never away and its all young boys enjoying a sing song and trying to back the team.

I have discussed the situation with both PL and Celtic's head of Operations Ronnie Hawthorn on numerous occasions, and yes it was mentioned at the latest meeting. It is imperative that we sort the situation out; the atmosphere at the park is dreadful without these guys; but it must be done properly.
